Advertising Policy

1. Advertising Model and Provider

Scholway is funded by advertising and premium membership (Scholway Yıldız). Ads are served via Google AdSense; ad delivery, content, and targeting are governed by Google's publisher policies. Our /ads.txt file transparently lists the providers authorized to sell ads on our domain.

2. Ad Placement Principles

  • Ads are visually distinguishable from editorial content; formats that disguise ads as content are not used.
  • Ads are not positioned to obstruct reading, cause accidental clicks, or break navigation.
  • Scholway Yıldız members browse the site ad-free.
  • We aim to keep sensitive flows such as sign-in, sign-up, and payment free of ads.

3. Editorial Independence

Advertisers do not control our editorial decisions. Country guides, university pages, and application content are produced independently of advertising relationships; no institution can purchase favorable coverage or placement. See our Editorial Policy for details.

4. Personalized Ads and Consent

Depending on your consent, Google may show interest-based (personalized) ads. Your choice in the cookie notice is applied accordingly, and you can also opt out at Google Ads Settings. Advertising cookies are detailed in our Cookie Policy; personal data processing is covered in our Privacy Policy.

5. Restricted Ad Categories

Beyond Google's own policies, we aim to use AdSense blocking controls to limit categories that could harm our student audience — misleading "guaranteed visa/admission" offers, fake diploma/document services, gambling, and high-risk financial products. If you see an inappropriate ad, please report it with a screenshot.

6. Invalid Traffic and Click Policy

Encouraging accidental, incentivized, or forced ad clicks is not tolerated. Artificial traffic, bot traffic, and click manipulation are acted upon and reported to Google where necessary.

7. Sponsored Content and Partnerships

There is currently no sponsored content or affiliate linking on the site. Should such a partnership be introduced, the content will be clearly labeled "Sponsored" and this policy will be updated.
